Hello class and professor,

Here in unit 5 we need to write on how going back to school has impacted our lives.
For me there is not enough time to do everything that needs to be done. I have done a time calender that I have tried so hard to keep true to my time calender. For me there is to much reading for researching our projects, plus the homework, reading our chapters, doing the practice books, blogging, discussions, and much much more. I feel so over-whelmed that I have almost quit so many different times. I get a lot of support from my favorite man (my husband), that keeps me going no matter how bad I feel or even having the feeling that I am in the ditch and can not seem to get out of it. Thank you for reading my blog. I wish you all great success in all of your endeavors.

  1. Hi Laurie,
We all feel like we get behind. I do every week until Tuesday night comes and then it starts all over on Wednesday. I am so glad you have a supportive husband - mine isn't so much. Make sure you plan some you time - it really does help you do the rest!

  2. Hi Sally,
This is a fine post. I am going to e-mail you something. You answered me in "your blog" though on the last communication. I was doing the same thing.
I am sorry about last time, I could not remember if you said mother or sister-in-law. Anyway, Mo sure was brave. How is she doing? After the last chapter we had, I cannot imagine the pain. I have never been burned except like popping on the stove, and the time my mom spilled hot soup on my leg. I was so little, but I remember my skin on my leg peeling instantly. I think I then became more scared than hurt (just for a while).
Thank you Sally, and see you tomorrow.

  3. Hey Sally,
Thank you for sharing your feelings on how on-line college has impacted your life. I am in my 4th term, and from week 5 to the end I get so stressed. I love focusing on the projects, but with the discussion boards, it takes me so long to research and compose the needed responses. They say you only need 2 or more, but my last professor would deduct points if you didn't do at least 3. How much can you write to people on the same subject? I don't dare correct them if they are wrong! I did that once, nicely, and no one would write to me after that. OPPS! :) I do enjoy this blog thing, it allows us to share our feelings. But please, just relax and keep plugging along. Just remember your goal to graduate and recieve your diploma. I think of it as having a baby, you forget the pain after the labor is done. Stay strong and focused!
    See ya in class!

  4. I Lara,

My sister-in-law is doing fine. She has had a lot of skin grafs and a lot more to go. Her and her granddaughter are doing good. I would like to thank you for blogging with me.

What type of prewriting do you like to do? I like to freewrite and brainstorm. I was taught these technique in high school and the other college I when to in 1993. I find these prewriting technique help me the most.

Again thank you for blogging with me, see you in class.

  5. Hi Mary,

I hope everthing is going good for you. Yes I do believe going back to school is just like having a baby. But as old as I am, I cannot believe I am still hanging in with college and trying to retain the information I need for these classes.

Thank you so much for getting me to see the positive side of this situation. I am glad we are at KU together. I hope I have more classes with you. Again, thank you for the positive point of view.

    Thank you
    Sally
