Final
I hope you all are doing good. I just took my 3.5 hour final in a and p 1. It was a horrible feeling and a high stress test. You really need to study a lot for this but it is hard when you have to turn in a essay paper 7 to 10 pages long plus the title page and reference page all in apa style. I hope I did good in that class because next semester I will have a and p 2. God I hope there is a final test or a paper but not both. Well I think the writing class gave me time to think my final project through and no final test. I guess that is why I liked it so much. You guys were great and our instructor was one of the best ever. Good luck in all of your endeavors.

Unit 10
Well here we are at the end of our semester. I hope you all did good and feel great about your accomplishments.
I learned a new technique called PDO, which is a great way to see how to improve my project by showing me that I needed to add information or to reorganize my paper.
I know that I still have a lot to learn about writing. This can be accomplished by practicing and reviewing over and over.
Thank you all for your help and I do wish you all the best in your remaining time at KU.
Thank you professor for all your help and understanding.

unit 9
I hope everyone is doing good. Here we are in the last stages of this seminar. I hope that all have had a great time and made new friends from this experience.
I really liked the pdo project we had to do. This was a new idea that helped me look at my projects in a different view. I hope that all of you used this system to help you understand what is needed in your projects.
Well I will sell all of you in class. Good luck in all of your endeavors.

I hope everyone is doing good. Here we are at the last round for our final projects. It is almost time to say good bye to each other.
I think this class taught me how to review my paper in a different insight. Don't just write a project get involved and understand what you are writing about. Letting your peers read and judge your project is not a negative situation but a solid positive attribute.
I hope all of you the best in all of the endeavors that you do.
Thank you all for you input and help.

Unit 8
I hope that everything is going well for all of you.
Here in unit 8 we are to revise our projects and help each other make a stronger easy reading essay. I hope you all are having fun in helping each other with our projects.
I will see you all in class.
Thank you for all your help.

unit 7 Peer Review
I hope that all had a great holiday.
Here in unit 7 we are to talk about peer review. I think peer review is good for me and my classmates. Sometimes when a person reviews my project they give me good advise on how to get rid of passive voice. Someone else can look at my project and give advise showing me what I might need to add or take away from my project.
If anyone has any ideas on how to make my project stronger, please do not hesitate to use negitive and or positive suggestions.
Thank you

Unit 6 PDO and rough draft
Hello classmates and professor,
Here is my post draft outline, and they rough of my project.
Please give me any advice that you think will help me improve my outline and project.
Writing is my worst subject ever. I have a hard time making the paragraphs flow together and make since. I would appreciate any advice.
This is how we can help each other improve or work. We can see how we need to improve ourselves and our projects. Peer review is a great way to help each other and become more than classmates (friends).

The Effects of Diabetes and Diabetic Medicines on the Human Body
1. A diabetic faces many health issues from this disease, equally dangerous are the side effects from the medication, they take to control their diabetes.
2. There are two major types of diabetes.
3. Left untreated or controlled diabetes can damage many organs of the body.
4. Drugs called sulfonfonylurea are primary glucose controllers.
5. Biguamides in which Metfomin is a member is the number one drug used for glucose control.
6. Alpha- Glycosidase is classified as with inhibitors slow down the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestines.
7. Thiazolidinediones is used very little because of their dangerous side effects.
8. Rapid releasers stimulate the pancreas for right after meals.
9. Advances in medicine and testing procedures have made it a little easier to live with diabetes.
My rough draft follows a logical process. There is room for more research and information to expand the thesis. Possibly, after adding more information, the order might need rearranged. I believe that the flow from one paragraph to another is good. I know I need to revise this project over and over until I am very satisfied with the end results.

The Effects of Diabetes and Diabetic Medicines on the Human Body
A diabetic faces many health issues from this disease, equally dangerous are the side effects from the medication they take to control their diabetes. Diabetes is a disease that has developed when the body does not produce or use insulin properly. Insulin is a hormone that the body uses to convert blood sugar into energy.
There are two major types of diabetes. Type 1 diabetes develops when the body does not produce any insulin. The reason is either hereditary factors or illnesses that cause the body’s immune system to destroy the cells that produce insulin in the pancreas. Sugar builds up in the blood instead of going into cells to help the body have energy. Type 1 diabetes can occur at any age, but usually starts in children or young adults (Diabetes monitor, 2009). Type 2 diabetes develops over a long period. It can sometimes take years for a person to realize and to be- tested for diabetes. Type 2 diabetes develops when the pancreas does produce enough insulin Problematicc sentence structure for some reason, the body does not use the insulin effectively. There are many causes of diabetes.
Left untreated or controlled, diabetes can damage many organs of the body. The cardiovascular system is at risk because many diabetics also have high blood pressure, high cholesterol as well as fluctuating blood sugar levels. The kidneys can be damaged because of the diabetes, so they do not work properly, and they can even fail. The eyes can suffer damage from the uncontrolled glucose levels. In addition, the feet and legs can have many problems from the nerve and circulation issues that lead to severe infections from minor injuries. Diabetes can

affect the arteries located in the cranial area (head) causing the arteries to leak and generate a hemorrhage of the brain. This disease can cause a rash that shows up on the outside of the leg that causes high blood sugar and toxins to harm the capillaries and small vessels of the skin. There are medications to help lower blood sugar.
As devastating that diabetes can be on the body so, Missingg Verb the effects of the medications. Since diabetics, take many different kinds of medication to control their diabetes some of which is taken to lessen or control these adverse side effects. A drug from the sulfonylurea’s group such as chlorpropamide, glipizide, or glyburide is prescribed. These prescriptions help stimulate the pancreas to generate more insulin. The effects of this drug can last up to twenty-four hours per dose eliminating the need to take this medication more than once a day. If a proper diet is not followed low blood sugar as well as bloating, nausea, heartburn, weight gain can occur (Levin & Pfeifer, 2002).
The second group of drugs is the biguamides. This drug controls the production of glucose by the liver, it also increases the number of insulin receptors in the muscle and fat cells. Metformin is the generic name for glucaphage is probably the most commonly prescribed drug for diabetes. The benefits from Metformin are showing that it reduces the risks of vascular problems in addition to controlling sugar levels. It benefits to far outweigh the risks of using this drug (Abrahamson & Newton, 2002).
The third group of drugs is alpha-glycosidase inhibitors. These groups of drugs contain starch blockers that slow down the digestion of carbohydrates by the intestines. The two drugs

in this group are acarbose and miglitol. The main side effects from this medication are diarrhea, bloating, excess gas and stomach pain (Drugs, 2008).
The fourth group of drugs is the thiazolidinediones. These drugs are currently not the first choice of drugs because of the risk of developing liver problems. In addition to the liver problems, rosiglitazone has shown to increase the risk of heart failure because of fluid retention. This group of drugs improves the insulin receptors of the muscles and fat cells and lowers the production of glucose by the liver. This drug is currently under testing for possibly adding to the risk of cardiac failure. The main side effects from these drugs are swelling of the legs and fluid retention (Drugs, 2008).
The final class of drugs is the rapid insulin releasers. The two drugs in this class are prandin and starlix. These drugs stimulate the pancreas for a short period and taken right before meals. These drugs are ideal for people that suffer from certain allergies to other diabetic medications or have kidney problems (Drugs, 2008).
Many treatment options available to help a diabetic control diabetes that was not available to them ten or fifteen years ago, it has helped to lessen the effect that the disease has on their daily life. With the many different types of oral medications and insulin injections, as well as better blood glucose testing procedures, it is now possible for a diabetic to know what their sugar level is at any given moment. Medications to control diabetes are effective in maintaining blood sugar levels; however, the side effects, damage to organs and possible medication allergies must be monitored closely.
